Taylor said he's more prepared for Pavlik

Jermain Taylor said he underestimated Kelly Pavlik in their first fight. On Thursday, he vowed it wouldn't happen again.

"It's a shame to say it, but it took a butt-kicking to get me back on track," Taylor told reporters in a conference call. It was a wake-up call."

Taylor will fight Pavlik on Feb. 16 in Las Vegas.
