Man bound over on drug charge

GIRARD — One man charged with felony trafficking in drugs last month has been bound over to a Trumbull County grand jury, while a man police call his affiliate has been given probation.

Craig Siciliano, 22, of Washington Avenue, has been bound over to the grand jury.

City police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force executed a search warrant at the Siciliano home Friday and arrested him. Police said they found more than a pound of marijuana, $1,300 in cash, surveillance equipment including video cameras, drug paraphernalia and packaging equipment.

Police said the search warrant was the result of an investigation lasting several months, during which an informant made several drug purchases from Siciliano. Police had received several calls about a man in the Washington Avenue area selling marijuana.

Douglas Cross, 20, of Morris Avenue, was said by police to be an “affiliate” of Siciliano’s. Felony charges against Cross have been amended to a misdemeanor drug trafficking charge.

Cross pleaded no contest in municipal court to the amended charge and was found guilty. He received a $1,000 fine with $900 of that suspended, one year’s probation and must pay $1,000 to the Girard Police Fund.
