Canfield divers advance to district

Canfield High divers Elizabeth Wilkens and Alexandra McClurg advanced to the Division I district diving competition next week at Cleveland State University.

At the sectional meet Wednesday, Wilkens finished in fourth place with a score of 367.25, and McClurg was 10th with 319.35. The top 10 divers advanced to the district meet.

Wilkens was fifth after the preliminary rounds of dives, while McClurg was 10th.

The swimming competition began today with preliminary heats.
