Jan. 31

Misuse of a credit card: A Boardman woman found out numerous credit cards were misused with her information.

Theft: A motorist pumped $15 worth of gasoline and left a BP station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying.

Theft: Two men stole about $500 worth of merchandise from Dillard’s in Southern Park Mall.

Arrest: Police responded to a possible robbery at a U.S. Route 224 business, where they charged a 33-year-old Boardman woman with making a false alarm. An employee said the woman had sent a text message that led him to believe the business was being robbed; the woman claimed it was a misunderstanding and meant as a joke.

Burglary: Someone entered a Basil Avenue home through an unlocked front door and stole around $25,000 as well as two coins.

Theft: A $98 men’s coat was removed from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A New Castle, Pa., woman’s $200 cell phone was stolen while she patronized a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant.

Theft: A man took a $60 electronic device from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: A 50-year-old Boardman woman surrendered to authorities. She was wanted on a charge of grand theft, a fourth-degree felony.

Theft: A 49-year-old Youngstown man faced charges of theft and possession of criminal tools after being accused of stealing a $44 set of headphones from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road, and using a knife to cut the packaging.

Breaking and entering: Someone cut a lock and broke into Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 23, was charged after $124 worth of clothing was taken from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Criminal mischief: A vehicle’s rear windshield was broken in the 700 block of Crestview Drive.

Criminal damaging: A Charles Avenue man reported two of his van’s windows were broken, resulting in an $800 damage estimate.

Criminal damaging: An Oakridge Drive man found damage to his truck’s body and driver’s-side window.

Criminal damaging: A rear window was broken at a home in the 700 block of Wildwood Drive.

Theft: An Indianola Road woman reported an air-conditioning unit and down spouting were stolen from her residence. The theft came to $700.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Erie Street woman reported her 2001 Cadillac was used without permission.

Criminal damaging: A man reported his father’s van’s rear window was broken in the 600 block of Oakridge Drive.

Assault: A South Avenue man reported being slapped in the face during an argument about money.

Feb. 3

Domestic violence: A 44-year-old township man was charged, accused of striking a family member across the face during an argument.

Deception: Officers arrested a 35-year-old Canfield woman on a felony charge of deception to obtain dangerous drugs after a worker for Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged she called in phony prescriptions.

Criminal damaging: A South Schenley Avenue man reported damage to his vehicle’s front windshield.

Domestic violence: An employee at a Boardman-Poland Road eatery alleged her boyfriend broke her car window and tried to pull her from her vehicle. A charge was pending against the 38-year-old man.

Feb. 4

Drugs: A Youngstown man, 26, was arrested in the 800 block of Indianola Road on a felony charge of possession of drugs.

Arrest: Officers investigated two suspicious males at the Southern Park Mall and discovered a 38-year-old Youngstown man was wanted on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

Domestic violence: A Poland woman, 21, was charged after her Wolosyn Circle mother said her daughter, pushed her and tossed a picture off a wall at her before fleeing.

Arson: A South Schenley Avenue woman told authorities someone lighted a coffee cup and a T-shirt on fire in her carport.

Counterfeit: A worker for Cochran Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave., found out two checks totaling $1,144 were counterfeit.
