Warren fire chief has assault charge hearing
WARREN — A pre-trial hearing is scheduled March 31 for city fire Chief Kenneth Nussle on a misdemeanor assault charge as the result of a dispute with a woman.
Nussle, 43, of Warren, entered a plea of not guilty Monday before Judge Terry Ivanchak of municipal court, who released the chief on a $2,500 recognizance bond and set the hearing.
The complaint was filed Saturday by Marcie DiCenso, 48, who alleged she was assaulted Jan. 31 after a verbal dispute between the two at her Trumbull Avenue home, the police report said.
Police noticed injuries on DiCenso, but she refused medical assistance. Nussle declined additional comment today, only saying he wasn’t guilty.
