Race details for the upcoming contests Saturday and Tuesday. Three states and one territory hold Democratic contests Saturday, with 161 delegates at stake. Three states hold Republican contests with 74 delegates up for grabs. Two states and the District of Columbia hold primaries Tuesday, with 168 Democratic delegates and 116 Republican delegates at stake:

SATURDAY

Louisiana primary

At stake: 56 Democratic delegates; 20 Republican delegates. (The GOP delegates will be allocated only if the winner gets a majority.)

2004: George W. Bush won the state with 57 percent.

Washington caucuses

At stake: 78 Democratic delegates; 18 Republican delegates. (GOP preference poll, no delegates will be allocated Saturday.)

2004: John Kerry won the state with 53 percent.

Kansas Republican caucus

At stake: 36 Republican delegates

2004: George W. Bush won the state with 62 percent.

Nebraska Democratic caucus

At stake: 24 Democratic delegates.

2004: George W. Bush won the state with 66 percent.

Virgin Islands Democratic caucus

At stake: 3 Democratic delegates.

2004: The territory does not cast electoral votes for president.

Maryland primaries

At stake: 70 Democratic delegates; 37 Republican delegates

2004: John Kerry won the state with 56 percent.

Virginia primaries

At stake: 83 Democratic delegates; 63 Republican delegates

2004: George W. Bush won the state with 54 percent.

District of Columbia primaries

At stake: 15 Democratic delegates; 16 Republican delegates
