Pa. woman hurt
in weekend accident

MERCER, Pa. — A woman slid off Pa. Route 208 in Pine Township and hit a front porch, state police in Mercer County reported. Alison Como, 21, of Grove City was transported to Grove City Medical Center after the accident at 12:16 a.m. Sunday. A passenger in her car was not taken to a hospital. The hospital had no information on her condition.

Copper wire stolen

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Thieves stole $1,000 worth of insulated copper wire from the Dairy Farmers of America Co., 925 Pa. Route 18, state police in New Castle report. Burglars broke into a storage building that contained tools and equipment at 2 a.m. Sunday. An investigation is continuing, police said.

Speeding citation
for New Castle man

NEW CASTLE, Pa.— A man was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-car crash, state police in New Castle reported. Fred Turk, 63, of New Castle was traveling east on Kildoo Road in North Beaver Township at 7:38 a.m. Sunday when he slid off the road and struck a ditch embankment. The car rolled onto its side and came to rest in the ditch. Turk was taken to Jameson Hospital after the crash. The hospital had no information late Monday on his condition.
