YOUNGSTOWN — A Struthers man was arrested after a 12-year-old girl said he made her drink alcohol and touched her inappropriately.

Jerry Dallas, 52, of East Midlothian Boulevard was expected to be video-arraigned in municipal court today on charges of gross sexual imposition, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of aggravated menacing. He was arrested Sunday evening on the South Side.

Police were sent to the area of Sheridan Road-Meadowbrook Avenue around 8 p.m. Sunday when the girl’s mother located the red Pontiac that Dallas was driving. The 12-year-old girl, her brother, 14, and his girlfriend, 13, had been in the car, police said. Dallas was described as a boyfriend of the 13-year-old girl’s mother.

The 12-year-old South Side girl, who had been in the front passenger seat, told police that she sent text messages to another brother who was at home and told him what was happening. He, in turn, told their mother. The mother then went looking for Dallas’ car, spotted it on Sheridan and called police.

Dallas ended up with a cut on his forehead when confronted by the 12-year-old girl’s two brothers, reports show. The menacing charges relate to threatening comments he made toward those who confronted him, police said.

The three children who had been in Dallas’ car all stated the same thing to police, that he told them to drink alcohol and touched the younger girl inappropriately.
