Boardman teen admits involvement in burglary at his dad’s home

BOARDMAN — Police charged a 16-year-old East Parkside Drive boy with complicity to aggravated burglary after police say he admitted to involvement in a burglary at his father’s home.

The boy told police during questioning that he spoke to one of the men charged in the Saturday aggravated burglary at the East Parkside home before the crime, telling the man, Richard Williams, 20, of Toledo, that he and his parents wouldn’t be home at that time.

The boy is related to Williams. Williams, his brother, Christopher Williams, 19, and Lennon Burgess, 18, also of Toledo, were all charged with aggravated burglary and receiving stolen property. A 17-year-old girl who lives at the house arrived home to find an unfamiliar car in the driveway and called police.

The 16-year-old boy also admitted to police that he had a conversation with Richard Williams shortly before the burglary and described the residence.

The trio is accused of taking guns from the home.

The boy is lodged in the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.
