Youngstown man faces drug charges after arrest in Boardman

BOARDMAN — A Youngstown man faces several charges, accused of running from police after a traffic stop.

Police charged Korey Jennings, 26, of East Ravenwood Avenue, with trafficking in suspected crack, marijuana and Methadone and with having a controlled substance in a container without a label, all felonies, and with a misdemeanor offense of resisting arrest.

Police stopped Jennings’ vehicle about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on South Avenue after the car changed lanes without using a turn signal. When the officer stopped the car and approached Jennings, Jennings told the officer that he was under suspension and was sorry for driving, a police report said.

The officer had Jennings get out of the car and saw a bulge under his jacket. When the officer tried to handcuff Jennings, a bag of suspected crack cocaine fell to the ground.
