Would-be drug purchaser shot, wounded in Warren

WARREN – A 25-year-old Cortland man was wounded by gunfire Monday as he attempted to buy drugs in Warren, he told police.

The man was treated at St. Joseph Medical Center for three gunshot wounds of the arm. He told police he was trying to buy drugs in the area of Highland Avenue and Second Street about 12:30 a.m. He went to a house when a man in a mask answered the door and opened fire.
