Recycling policy updated by Geauga-Trumbull SWD

WARREN — All types of plastics can now be recycled by the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District.

Lisa Smith, district secretary, said plastic containers with the one through seven recycling symbol usually located on the bottom are now accepted at any of the recycling drop-off sites throughout the two counties.

Also, all Trumbull County sites are now accepting mixed paper, meaning junk mail, envelopes, brown grocery bags and shopping catalogues for recycling.

Textbooks can’t be recycled at the sites. Smith said the district is in the process of updating signs at the 46 sites so the public knows what can be recycled.
