Wright State’s late basket secures Horizon League win

FAIRBORN — Vaughn Duggins scored with 0.4 seconds left to give Wright State a 53-51 win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday night.

Wright State (14-6, 7-4 Horizon League) used a 17-3 run early in the second half to go ahead by seven with 11:48 to play. But Wisconsin-Milwaukee (12-10, 7-5) tied it at 51 with eight seconds remaining on a Marcus Skinner tip-in.

The Raiders pushed back down the floor, with Duggins driving inside and scoring on a bank shot just before the buzzer.

Duggins finished with 17 points and Scottie Wilson added 12 for Wright State. Skinner had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.

Wis.-Green Bay 66, Detroit 64

DETROIT — Cordero Barkley made a layup with 2.6 seconds to play for Green Bay. Rahmon Fletcher drove into the lane in the final seconds and found Barkley, whose only field goal of the day turned out to be the game-winner. The Titans were unable to get a shot off before time expired. Mike Schachtner and Terry Evans had 16 points each for the Phoenix (12-9, 6-5 HL). Jon Goode had 21 points and Chris Hayes added 17 for Detroit.
