Scholarships for horticulture students made available by Men’s Garden Club

YOUNGSTOWN — Students planning to further their education in the fields of ornamental horticulture, landscape design or allied subjects are encouraged to apply for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded by the Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown and a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded by the Men’s Garden Clubs of America.

Applicants must be residents of Mahoning or surrounding counties who are planning to begin their studies in the fall of 2008, or who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. The students may attend any accredited college/university in the United States.

The Men’s Garden Cub of Youngstown has presented a horticultural scholarship each year since 1991.
