Night of casino games make wishes come true


The event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

YOUNGSTOWN — The annual UAW-GM Casino Night will be held from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Feb. 22 at Chevrolet Centre, 229 E. Front St., as a benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, live music and gaming. Poker, blackjack, Texas hold ’em and other casino games will be run by a professional gaming company and volunteer dealers throughout the evening.

The event is planned for fun only, and there will be no cash payouts.

The cost for an individual ticket is $60, and corporate sponsorships and high roller limo packages are available. Reservations are required and can be made by contacting Julie Scarsella, regional manager, at (330) 965-9085.

The high roller cocktail sponsor for the event is National City Bank, and premiere sponsors are Brilex Industries Inc., Butler Wick Corp. and The Muransky Companies.

The foundation chapter is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has granted more than 6,300 magical wishes. This year’s goal is to fulfill the wishes of 800 local children. For more information, contact www.makeawishohio.org.
