Monday is deadline to register to vote in primary


Monday is the deadline for Ohioans to register to vote in the March 4 primary election. Many boards of election, including those in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, will have extended hours till 9 p.m. today to accommodate late registrants. To be eligible to vote in the primary, individuals must be Ohio residents and be 18 years old on or before Nov. 4, the date of the general election. In addition to the presidential party nominations, the March 4 primary will feature state, local and congressional races and local and school tax issues.
