The history of Antone’s:
1961: Helen Scianna opens Antone’s Restaurant on Market Street at Chalmers Avenue.
1970: Helen retires and her son Ross takes over ownership.
1974: Ross opens Antone’s II in Boardman.
1980: The original restaurant in Youngstown is destroyed by fire.
Late 1980s: Ross Scianna opens more Antone’s locations in the Mahoning Valley.
1991: Helen Scianna dies.
1993: Ross’ son Chad joins the company.
2004: Company opens Oscar’s, a fine-dining restaurant in Boardman.
2008: Oscar’s is remodeled and renamed Jeremiah Bullfrog Sports Bar and Grille, and the company opens Antone’s — That’s Italian! in Boardman, with plans to open more throughout Ohio.
