New Bethel elects officers, adopts budget

YOUNGSTOWN — New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., elected church officers and adopted a budget of $842,321.

Officers are Everett Tharpe, deacon board chairman; Vernell Harris, deaconess board chairwoman; Julius Livas, trustee board chairman; Michael Lyons, Christian education board chairman; Lois York, Sunday school superintendent; Juanita Davis, church clerk; Ike Henry, treasurer; Tazwell Franklin, financial secretary; and Reuben Gordon, benevolent treasurer.

The 35th annual meeting is scheduled at noon Feb. 10 followed by a dinner in the church hall. Reservations are due by Monday; call the church office at (330) 747-2125.
