“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday, WFMJ-TV 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County): Dr. Victor Wan-Tatah of the Youngstown State University Africana Studies Department will talk with host Madonna Chism Pinkard about Black History Month. Next, Mary Jo Truman of Delta Sigma Theta will discuss the sorority’s heritage project, which focuses on blacks in the Mahoning Valley, namely those in the media. WFMJ will feature small vignettes on Carl Bryant, Ode Aduma, Greg Andrews and Margaret Linton, based on the project. Finally, Theresa Yarboro and Robin Bradley of Alpha Kappa Alpha will discuss the sorority’s 100th anniversary and the new Mattel Alpha Kappa Alpha Barbie doll that will commemorate it.
