X COLUMBUS — Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Jan. 5 as Carolyn Mowrey and James Mangas were united in marriage by the Rev. G. Michael Gribble at St. Joseph Cathedral.
The daughter of Earl and Donna Mowrey, 6080 Everett East Road, Hubbard, and the son of John and Wendy Mangas, 3706 E. State Road, Lima, were honored afterward during a reception at the Westin Great Southern Hotel.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line, champagne-colored gown designed with a semi-sweetheart neckline and featuring draped organza ruching on the skirt.
Wearing burgundy gowns were the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Julie Liddle, and the bridesmaids, Jill Ciminero, her cousin; Sara Kostelac; and Kristen Apel. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Mary Jo Liddle.
John Mangas II was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Patrick Kollars, David Jones and Jason Ostrowski. Ring bearer was the groom’s nephew, Jack Mangas.
The bride is a legislative and public-affairs representative with Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio Inc. in Gahanna. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Ohio State University and is pursuing a master’s degree in applied politics at the University of Akron. The groom graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree and is a senior associate with Ruscilli Real Estate Services Inc. in Dublin.
The couple live at 425 E. Beechwood Blvd.
