X Seton III will meet Thursday at Hospice House on Sharrott Road for a noon luncheon and the election of a nominating committee. The speaker will be Dan Wittingham, whose theme is “Home Health Care.” Lori Brennan, hostess chairman, will be assisted by Naomi Hart, Betty Hasler, Florence Reardon, Ginny Reedy, Helen Scharrer and Shirley Zambetis.
X Tri-County Chapter of Medical Assistants will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center in Canfield. The speaker will be Heather Krause, community health education specialist from Mahoning County Board of Health, whose theme will be “Smoke-free Workplace — Know the Facts.” Guests are welcome.

Books, magazines and tapes will be collected from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturdays of each month for the book cart.
X Friends of the Library, East Branch, on Jackson Street, will meet at 4 p.m. Monday at the library. There will be a valentine basket raffle at 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the library. Raffle tickets are three for $1. Slightly used books from the book cart will be sold to the public at 4 p.m. Monday and Feb. 13.
