CLASSES

X Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s on Route 224, Boardman. All classmates and spouses are welcome.

X Chaney High School Alumni of January and June 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. Spouses and friends are welcome. No reservations are required.

X Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s on Route 224, Boardman. Guests are welcome.

CLUBS

X Poland Center Homemakers will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church for a casserole luncheon. Hostesses will be Alexandra Simon and Sophie Yash. Members will make valentines for vets.

X Seton III will meet Thursday at Hospice House on Sharrott Road for a noon luncheon and the election of a nominating committee. The speaker will be Dan Wittingham, whose theme is “Home Health Care.” Lori Brennan, hostess chairman, will be assisted by Naomi Hart, Betty Hasler, Florence Reardon, Ginny Reedy, Helen Scharrer and Shirley Zambetis.

X Tri-County Chapter of Medical Assistants will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center in Canfield. The speaker will be Heather Krause, community health education specialist from Mahoning County Board of Health, whose theme will be “Smoke-free Workplace — Know the Facts.” Guests are welcome.

X Welcome Wagon Club of Canfield will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for a program on hair and makeup for spring. There will be refreshments, and child care will be provided. For more information, call (330) 533-1552.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

X Friends of Boardman Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 11 at the library meeting room for a social followed by a 10 a.m. program. Barbara Luce will appear in costume and speak on “Sara Josefa Hale: Godey’s Lady’s Book.” Guests are welcome. No reservations required. Hostesses will be Patricia Beede, Jeanie Price, Roseann Rushen and Amy Sposato. Books, magazines and tapes will be collected from 10 a.m. to noon the first and third Saturdays of each month for the book cart.

X Friends of the Library, East Branch, on Jackson Street, will meet at 4 p.m. Monday at the library. There will be a valentine basket raffle at 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the library. Raffle tickets are three for $1. Slightly used books from the book cart will be sold to the public at 4 p.m. Monday and Feb. 13.

X Friends of Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for coffee followed by a business meeting at 10. JoAnn Ellis will review the book, “The Greatest Generation,” by Tom Brokaw. Book and magazine donations will be accepted for the library book cart.

POLITICAL CLUBS

X Warren Republican Women’s Club will hold a meeting at noon Thursday at DeLucia’s Restaurant, Elm Road, Warren. Kelly Pallante, director of Trumbull County Board of Elections, will speak on the primary elections in March. The cost for the luncheon is $12.
