• YOUNGSTOWN — Pamela Marie Pires and Elvis S. Madera, both of 2903 Rush Blvd., exchanged nuptial vows at noon as they were united in marriage during a ceremony that took place Aug. 10 at La Iglesia de Dios.

Felipe Estrada officiated at the wedding, which was followed by a reception at the couple’s home, where they live after a wedding trip to Puerto Rico.

The bride’s parents are Colleen F. Aguair, 550 William St., Fall River, Mass., and the late David J. Pires. The groom’s mother is Zorida Colon, and his stepfather is Jose A. Felix, both of Youngstown.

The bride wore a strapless white gown, and her veil was gathered to a rhinestone tiara.

Flower girls were Emma Madera and Julia Madera, the couple’s daughters, who wore pink and white dresses.

The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s stepfather.

Mrs. Madera is a stay-at-home mother of four children.

Mr. Madera earned an automotive technician degree at U.T.I. College in Phoenix, Ariz. He is self-employed.
