No. 25 Butler rallies to win; CSU falls

INDIANAPOLIS — Freshman Shelvin Mack made five 3-pointers in the first seven minutes of the second half to match his career high of 22 points and rally No. 25 Butler from an 11-point deficit to a 72-68 victory over Alabama-Birmingham on Tuesday night.
It was the first time the young Bulldogs (11-1) played since moving into the Top 25 on Monday.
Wright St. 71, Cleveland St. 62
DAYTON — Cory Cooperwood scored 15 points to lead Wright State to its fifth straight victory.
Wright State (7-7, 1-2 Horizon League) jumped out to an early lead and went up by 13 points after a 12-1 scoring run at the 6:35 mark of the first half, putting the score at 19-6. The Raiders never trailed in the contest.
Wis.-Green Bay 61, W. Michigan 51
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Reserves Bryquis Perine and Ryan Tillema scored 15 points each for Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Perine hit six of his first seven shots and all three of his 3-point attempts as the Phoenix (9-4) won their third straight.
Valparaiso 78, North Park 47
VALPARAISO, Ind. — Howard Little scored 16 points and Urule Igbavboa had 15 for Valparaiso.
Ohio Delaware 74, Toledo 63
NEWARK, Del. — Jawan Carter scored 24 points and Marc Egerson added 20 to lead Delaware.
Carter, a first-year transfer from Saint Joseph’s (Pa.), scored 16 first-half points as the Blue Hens (6-7) built a 37-25 halftime lead. Carter was 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final 1:33 after the Rockets (2-10) closed to 65-61.
Carter has scored 20-plus points in five of the past six games for the Blue Hens, who won for only the second time in six home games this season.
Kent St. 93, Shawnee St. 42
KENT — Al Fisher scored 16 points to lead Kent State.
Six players scored in the double-digits for Kent State (6-6), which never trailed in the game and led by a towering 53 points with 39 seconds left. At halftime, Kent State led 53-16.
Tyree Evans had 12 points, Anthony Simpson came off the bench to add 12, and Julian Sullinger and Brandon Parks had 10 points each for Kent State. Frank Henry-Ala also came off the bench to score 10 for the Golden Flashes.

ATHENS — Jerome Tillman had 19 points and 12 rebounds to drive Ohio (6-6).
