Winds cause power outage in Cornersburg

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Edison crews were working to repair a power outage to more than 1,200 customers in the Cornersburg area at press time Monday night.

Paul Harkey, Ohio Edison area manager, said high winds tripped a breaker at the Cornersburg substation causing the power outage.

He said crews were still working just before 11 p.m. and hoped to have power fully restored by midnight.
