Search under way for new Salem schools superintendent


SALEM — The Salem Board of Education is looking for a new superintendent.

The contract of Louis Ramunno, interim superintendent, expires in July, and the school board has begun seeking applications for the post. Ramunno served as interim superintendent for two years.

The board plans to begin interviewing candidates the week of Feb. 16, and it wants to fill the post by June 15 with the new superintendent beginning his or her duties Aug. 1.
