Mother temporarily on house arrest
YOUNGSTOWN — The mother of five children who was not at home when someone set their porch on fire was placed on electronically monitored house arrest after being arraigned last week on child endangering charges. Tradel Pollard, 23, of Pasadena Avenue is due back in municipal court Jan. 9 for a pretrial hearing. Pollard, who came home about 15 minutes after firefighters arrived on the scene last Tuesday night, told them her dog had gotten loose and she had been searching for the animal. Her children, ages 3 to 8, were treated for smoke inhalation, the fire department said.
