High winds cause power outage in Cornersburg area

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Edison crews were working to repair a power outage to more than 1,200 customers in the Cornersburg area at press time tonight.

Paul Harkey, Ohio Edison area manager, said high winds tripped a breaker at the Cornersburg substation causing the power outage.

He said crews were still working on the outage just before 11 p.m. and hoped to have power fully restored by midnight.
