Jameson gets four-star rating

NEW CASTLE, PA – Jameson Health System recently announced that the Jameson Care Center and the Jameson Transitional Care Unit have received an above average, or four-star, overall rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

On Dec. 18 the CMS unveiled the “Five Star Quality Rating System” on Nursing Home Compare. Nursing homes received an overall rating based on facility performance on three types of performance measures: health inspections, staffing and quality measures. Nursing Home Compare displayed the star ratings for each of the three performance measures alongside the overall rating.

The Jameson Care Center, a member of the Jameson Health System, is a 78-bed, Medicare Certified long-term care facility providing skilled and intermediate care. The Care Center is a 70,000 square foot facility comprising 14 private and 32 semiprivate rooms. The Jameson Transitional Care Unit is a skilled nursing unit that emphasizes that geriatric resident provide complete medical supervision and comprehensive resident-centered care.
