Huey anniversary is celebrated at church social hall

• YOUNGSTOWN ­— The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Huey, 941 S. Hazelwood Ave., was celebrated during a 1 p.m. reception that took place Nov. 30 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall.

Hosts for the festivities were their children and their spouses, William and Joni Huey of Indianapolis, Ind.; Robert and Roseann Huey of Girard; and Diane Torres of Youngstown. Also participating were the couple’s grandchildren, Taylor and Connor Huey, Jason and Rachael Huey, and Reanna and Evelyn Torres.

Mr. Huey and the former Geraldine E. Pesce were united in marriage on Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Ann’s Church. They are members of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Among the special guests at the celebration were members of the original wedding party, Dorothy Procick, the bride’s cousin and honor attendant; Edward Pesce, her brother and best man; Minnie Burnside, her godmother; and Richard Koker, the groom’s godfather.

Mr. Huey served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1958. He retired in June of 1991 from Youngstown Steel Door, ATD Corp, where he was a pressman. Mrs. Huey is a homemaker.
