Hinelys mark 50th with outdoor party and vow renewal

• LAKE MILTON — Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hinely Jr., of Grandview Road, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 24 by renewing their nuptial vows in an outdoor ceremony on the lawn of their lake-side home with family and friends in attendance. Their close friend Atty. Mark Finamore of Vienna officiated.

Mr. Hinely and the former Nancy Elder were married Aug. 23, 1958, at Brown Memorial Methodist Church in Youngstown.

The couple are the parents of John Hinely III (Karen) and Jill Ellen Hinely. They have two grandsons, Nicholas and Dalton.

Mrs. Hinely retired in 1999 from Mathews School District, where she was a librarian. She is a member of Lake Milton Women’s League.

Mr. Hinely retired as a stockbroker in 1996 and had been a corporate officer of the former G.F. Business Equipment. He also served as a Vienna Township trustee. He serves as chairman of the Milton Township Planning Commission and is on the development board of Shepherd of the Valley.

The couple had owned Vienna Nursery and Greenhouse and the Robert Security Co. They are active members of Lake Milton Association and are volunteers for Lake Milton State Park. The couple are members of Living Lord Lutheran Church.
