Trumbull Co. offers sites to leave Christmas trees

WARREN — The Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District has received grant money this year to provide collection points for Christmas trees in several Trumbull County communities.

Tree owners are allowed to use whatever is the most convenient location. They should remove all ornaments, hooks, tinsel, lights and stands.

Drop-off locations are:

- Howland Township Public Works Department, 3600 North River Road, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Jan. 5-9 and 12-16.

- Hubbard Township Road Department, 2600 Elmwood Drive (drop-off area fenced in) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., today through Jan. 23.

- City of Hubbard will have curbside pickup. Dates and times to be announced later.

- Johnston Township garage, 4424 Greenville Road/state Route 77 (behind the fire station) 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 9, 12, 16 and 19.

- Newton Township garage, 4410 Newton Bailey Road, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., today through Jan. 23.

- City of Cortland Service Department/Willow Park, 184 Willow Street, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Jan. 16.

- Cortland residents, curbside collection 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Jan. 5 and 12.

- City of Warren, Packard Music Hall Parking Lot, 1703 Mahoning Ave., Warren, through Jan. 24, seven days a week, daylight hours.
