“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ-TV 21): Enjoying a safe New Year’s Eve is the focus for this week’s broadcast of “Community Connection.” Chief Vince D’Egidio from the New Middletown Police Department and the OVI Task Force will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss drinking and driving, seat-belt usage and overall safety.

Next, Suzanne Heino and Brooke Slanina of First Night Canfield and Youngstown, respectively, will discuss the family-friendly activities planned for the Valley on New Year’s Eve.
