Car, township dump truck collide, catch fire

HOWLAND — A car and a township truck collided and caught fire on East Market Street at Rosegarden Drive, the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Warren said.
Both drivers, one in a Buick Skylark and the other in a Howland Township one-ton dump truck, suffered minor injuries, police said.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Police said the truck driver, Roger Hermison, 64, of Warren, pulled out of Rosegarden into the path of the Skylark’s driver, Zachary Pennock, 30, of Warren.
Hermison was charged with failure to yield from a stop sign, police said.
