A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard and Girard:

HUBBARD

Dec. 19

Theft: The rear license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 20 block of Orchard Avenue.

Arrest: A warrant was issued against a township woman charging her with assault, menacing and obstructing justice.

Dec. 20

Arrests: The Hubbard Mayor’s Court issued warrants for two men accusing them of failing to pay their city income taxes.

Dec. 21

Arrest: A traffic stop on Youngstown-Hubbard Road led to the arrest of a man, no information given. He was accused of failing to pay his 2006 income taxes.

Dec. 22

Domestic violence: A complaint was filed against a Hubbard man charging him.

Fraud: A Jackson Street woman discovered someone used her automated-teller-machine card without permission.

GIRARD

Dec. 21

Criminal mischief: An Austintown man reported his girlfriend tossed his $400 cell phone into a toilet during an argument at a residence in the 100 block of Steel Street.

Dec. 22

Stolen property: Two Girard men, 18 and 20, faced felony charges of receiving stolen property after officers responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Patricia Drive. An investigation revealed the damaged Plymouth Neon, along with stereo equipment, had been stolen from a Liberty Township towing company, the report said.

Fraud: A Washington Avenue woman reported receiving unwanted products in the mail and discovering a small amount of money had been removed from her account.

Theft: A woman returned to her Church Hill Road apartment and noticed two diamond rings and $10 missing.

Dec. 23

Assaults: A Warren man told authorities he and his girlfriend got into a fight as they left a South Randolph Street home. The man said he had been struck; the woman reported he grabbed at her neck.

Fraud: An East Second Street woman reported paying $95 for an anti-virus program for her computer that she ran and discovered the program was not part of the package.
