BOARDMAN

Dec. 19

Theft: Six to eight articles of clothing were stolen from Burlington Coat Factory, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road, costing the store about $300.

Theft: A Boardman boy’s $300 cell phone was stolen while he was in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Two Warren women, 38 and 45, were accused in the theft of two compact-disc players and CDs from FYE in Southern Park Mall. One of the women also faced four counts of possession of drugs after police said several pills were found.

Theft: A $40 digital camera was taken from Sears in Southern Park Mall, resulting in charges of theft and criminal trespassing against an 18-year-old Campbell man.

Bad check: A Boardman man, 38, surrendered to authorities on a charge of passing a bad check.

Arrest: A 49-year-old man was charged with criminal trespassing after police responded to Stadium Drive Elementary School, 111 Stadium Drive, regarding a parent there to give medications to his son. The boy’s mother said the pupil didn’t need the medication, and the man refused to leave, the report said.

Theft: A Poland woman, 26, surrendered to police on a felony theft count. Earlier, an employee with Party Max, 445 Boardman-Poland Road, reported four deposits had never made it to the bank.

Drugs: A 25-year-old Youngstown man was charged with deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a fifth-degree felony, after a pharmacist with Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, told officers someone had phoned in a bogus prescription for Vicodin.

Criminal damaging: Three floodlights were damaged at a Market Street insurance company.

Theft: A woman fled in a vehicle after stealing three items from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall. The merchandise was recovered.

Theft: A man, 20, and a woman, 23, both of Youngstown, were charged with theft and complicity to theft, respectively, after two makeup kits and three electronic devices were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Vandalism: A woman told police a man tossed a rock as she drove on Southern Boulevard, fracturing a portion of her front windshield.

Theft: A Warren man, 24, was charged after $300 worth of merchandise was taken from Wal-Mart.

Breaking and entering: Police responded to a break-in at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, 6122 Market St.

Criminal damaging: A Beechwood Drive woman’s vehicle had a rear tire slashed.

Misuse of a credit card: A Boardman-Canfield Road woman found out her information was used to make three unauthorized purchases totaling about $200.

Theft: A woman stole items from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Domestic violence: The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department handed a Boardman man, 32, to township authorities. Earlier, a Shadyside Drive woman alleged her boyfriend shoved her into a set of steps, causing her to strike her head, during an argument about finances.

Attempted burglary: A Deerpath Drive woman realized someone had used a brick to try to smash a rear window on an enclosed porch door.

Criminal damaging: A man left a Boardman-Canfield Road store and noticed a 2-inch scratch on his car’s rear quarter panel.

Dec. 21

Theft: A Glen Park Road woman reported several items were removed from her purse in her vehicle.

Robbery: A Youngstown man at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus told police a gunman struck him over the head several times after the accuser entered a room at a Market Street motel. He also reported two men stole $400, a cell phone, a gold chain and an earring.

Citations: A Youngstown woman, 24, and a Columbus woman, 26, were cited during a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Hillman Way. A small amount of suspected marijuana was found, police said.

Dec. 22

Drugs: A traffic stop near Stanton Avenue resulted in a 36-year-old Youngstown man’s being charged with drug abuse (cocaine) and arrested on two warrants. A vehicle search revealed a bag with less than one-tenth of a gram of suspected cocaine, the report said.

Breaking and entering: Someone used a rock to break a front-door window and enter Petland, 7338 Market St. Police also investigated a similar crime at Rick’s Ranchwear, 7336 Market.

Theft: An employee with a Windham Court business discovered a blank prescription pad missing from the office.

Theft: A Boardman-Canfield Road man reported 21 lottery tickets and loose change missing.

Identity theft: A Mathews Road woman found out someone bought a cell phone, incorporated her information and incurred $2,439 worth of usage charges.

Theft: A Boardman woman lost and canceled her credit card, but after someone had used it on two occasions, one to buy concert tickets.

Theft: A man stole four eyeglass frames from Lens Crafters, 265 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: A woman reported a stereo faceplate and a gold ring stolen from her vehicle while she was in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A $15 jacket was taken from Rainbow Clothing, 1208 Doral Drive.

Theft/weapon: A 22-year-old Youngstown man faced charges of theft and carrying a concealed weapon after $170 worth of jewelry was stolen from Sears. A knife was in his jacket pocket, the report showed.

Criminal damaging: Someone kicked and dented a vehicle’s driver’s-side door at Southern Park Mall.

Robbery: A Youngstown girl, 15, faced a robbery count, accused of fighting with Wal-Mart store personnel trying to detain her after $157.54 worth of merchandise was stolen. Charged with theft were two Youngstown girls, 15 and 17.

Counterfeit: A worker for Men’s Wearhouse, 7310 Market St., reported two people paid for clothing with four $50 bills later determined to be phony.

POLAND

Dec. 18

Burglary: An elderly West Manor Avenue man reported a break-in and the theft of a 9mm firearm and other items.

Drugs: A traffic stop near Western Reserve Road led to a 32-year-old Boardman man’s arrest on a felony charge of possession of drugs when, police said, pills thought to have been Ecstasy were found.

Dec. 19

Drugs: A Girard man, 32, faced charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments after being pulled over near Tala and Diana drives.

Arrest: A Youngstown man, 44, wanted on a probation violation was taken into custody during a traffic stop near U.S. Route 224 and Stymie Road.

Dec. 20

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the 2300 block of Renwick Drive.
