WARREN — Two young Cleveland men are in Trumbull County Jail after being arraigned on an aggravated robbery charge after being accused of punching a 13-year-old boy and stealing $21 from him as he walked from his Oak Knoll Avenue Southeast home.

The boy told Warren police he walked north on Oak Knoll to buy pop at a store about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday when he noticed two men walking down a neighbor’s driveway.

The men followed him to the intersection of Oak Knoll and Youngstown Road, where they ordered him to stand against the wall of a business.

The two men demanded money. The boy laughed, thinking they were joking, and one of the men punched the boy in the face, knocking him against the wall and giving him a bruised eye, police said.

The men took $21 from the boy’s pockets and ordered him to walk around the block or his family would be harmed, police said.

Police investigated and discovered that two young men from Cleveland had been staying at a house a couple of doors down from the victim and were directed to a house on South Feederle.

There, police arrested Terrance M. Robinson, 20, of Parkview Avenue, Cleveland; and Frank Edwards, 20, of Garden Valley Avenue, Cleveland.

The court entered innocent pleas for both men to a charge of aggravated robbery Wednesday morning. Warren Municipal Court Judge Terry Ivanchak set bond at $150,000 cash surety.

If convicted on the charge, each man faces a prison term of up to eight years.
