Drug abuse: Police arrested a 19-year-old Tampa, Fla., man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road. Police found a bag of marijuana in the suspect’s pockets, along with a corncob pipe containing marijuana residue. He was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old Bristolville female.
Dec. 14
Foot pursuit: Police responded to a request for mutual aid on Glenwood Avenue at Playhouse Lane in Boardman for the Mahoning County OVI Task Force and helped chase a man who opened up the passenger back door to a vehicle and fled on foot. A Boardman officer used a stun gun and arrested the man, who had multiple outstanding warrants.
Drug abuse: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Arden Boulevard and Cascade Road in an OVI Task Force operation for drug abuse and obtaining and possessing. Police found a bag of marijuana containing 3.5 grams on the passenger in a vehicle.

Dec. 15
Criminal damaging: A rock was thrown at a vehicle’s window while parked at a home in the 500 block of Vassar Avenue.
Recovered property: An Ohio license plate was recovered in the roadway at state Route 46 and Interstate Boulevard after being reported missing by a man from an apartment in the 3000 block of Canfield Road.
Theft: A GPS system was stolen from an auto, and the window was broken out at Bearing Distributor International, Victoria Road.
Fraud: Credit cards were misused from a home in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue.
Fraud: Credit cards were misused from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Theft: Unidentified items were taken from an auto at Send It Packin’ Plus, 4496 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Two handguns were taken from a home in the 100 block of Idlewood Road.
Criminal trespass: A man was issued a summons for criminal trespassing at Dollar General, 1735 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: A Newton Falls man was arrested for possession of marijuana at state Route 46 and Ashley Circle.

Criminal trespassing: A 13-year-old pupil was found by the custodian in a room at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road and was returned to his grandparents.
Theft: A Visa debit card was stolen at Head Start, 122 Westchester Drive.
Aggravated menacing: A 58-year-old woman reported being menaced in the parking lot at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A car window was broken and a Garmin GPS was stolen at the Fairfield Inn, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Property damage: A vehicle returned to Enterprise Car Rental, 4908 Mahoning Ave. was damaged.
Theft: Two females were arrested in a theft at Dots, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: An auto was entered and unidentified items were taken at Everclear, 3700 Oakwood Ave.
Burglary: A blanket and candy were taken at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Rectory, 4490 Norquest Blvd.
Breaking and entering: Offices were entered but nothing was taken at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Boulevard.
Theft: Medication left with a neighbor for safe-keeping was stolen at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Auto theft: A 2001 Nissan was stolen along with dealer plates from Import Exchange, 168 S. Meridian Road.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a debit account.
Theft: A change purse was stolen from an auto after the passenger window was broken out at Casal Aveda, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A generator was stolen from Power Tool and Supply, 3699 LeHarps Road.
Loose dog: A woman was issued a summons for a loose dog at a home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Theft: A 24-year-old woman was arrested in a theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A check and cash were missing after a burglary at a home in 4000 block of S. Warwick Drive.
Fraud: Money was paid over a computer to a company that does not exist at a home in the 4000 block of Plumbrook Drive.
Breaking and entering: Main Moon Restaurant, 1502 S. Raccoon Road, was broken into, and money was stolen. The front door was smashed out.
Telecommunications harassment: A business line was receiving harassing phone calls at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd.
Criminal damaging: A vending machine was damaged at Infocision, 5740 Interstate Boulevard.
Theft: A tow dolly was stolen at Penske Truck Rental, 350 Victoria Road.

Aggravated robbery: Two men with firearms robbed Check ‘N Go, 1600 S. Raccoon Road.

Attempted breaking and entering: An attempt was made to pry into a rear west door, but no entry was made at Jump Stretch, 1230 N. Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: Vehicle tires were slashed at Cosmo’s, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
Forgery: Checks were forged and cashed for $389 at Sav-A-Step, 4825 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: $200 was taken from a wallet at a home in the 500 block of Callaway Circle.
Vandalism: The window of a truck was shattered at Fuel Mart, 5301 Seventy-Six Drive.

Felonious assault: A female was threatened with a knife at a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
