YPD searching for Arby’s robber

YOUNGTOWN — Police are looking for a man who robbed an Arby’s on Market Street earlier today.

According to the report, a man came into the Arby’s at 3130 Market St. at 3:45 p.m. and asked the cashier for a No. 1 combo meal. But within moments of the request he demanded, “Forget it. Just give me all of the money or I’ll blow your head off.”

The cashier screamed and immediately fled, and a manager who emerged from the back met the demand by removing the register drawer. Employees said the perpetrator did not present a weapon, but had a hand in his pocket as though he might.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall , weighing about 180 pounds with a “light mustache.” He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, and fled toward Boston Avenue, the report states.

Police obtained both a copy of the restaurant’s surveillance video and the cash drawer as evidence. No estimate of the stolen money was provided.
