Strickland names new state treasurer

COLUMBUS — Gov. Ted Strickland named Columbus City Councilman Kevin Boyce as the next state treasurer, effective Jan. 6.

“As state treasurer, Kevin will provide effective and experience management over our state dollars, and he will also provide Ohioans with the knowledge and resources they need,” Strickland told reporters during a press conference in his Cabinet Room late Tuesday morning.
