• BOARDMAN — The marriage of Suzanne Marie Paden and John Brian Vargo, both of 505 Edgepine Drive, Holly Springs, N.C., was solemnized by the Rev. Shawn Conoboy at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at St. Charles Church.

The couple were honored at a reception at Antone’s Banquet Centre before leaving for a wedding trip to the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oahu.

The daughter of Frank Paden, 7465 Jaguar Drive, and the late Marsha Paden, and the son of John and Barbara Vargo, 943 Black Sea Road, Jefferson, live in Holly Springs.

The bride’s strapless princess-style gown of white dupioni silk was enhanced with Alencon lace and featured a chapel train.

Pink gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Laura Paden, the bride’s sister, and Cheryl McGovern, her cousin, and the bridesmaids, Julie Gulu, Erin Eblin, Leah Lumbaca, Jennifer Hall and the bride’s cousin, Michelle Oleyas. Another cousin, Ava McGovern, was flower girl.

Serving as best man was the groom’s brother, Christopher Vargo, and groomsmen were Eric Gray, Daniel Jackson, Michael Adame, Eric Anderson, John Nagy and the bride’s brother, Brad Paden. Ring bearer was Jack Gulu.

The bride and groom are senior engineers with The RoviSys Company in Apex, N.C. She graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and he earned a bachelor’s in computer engineering at the University of Toledo.
