SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following activities: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club from 8:30 a.m. to noon and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, cornhole practice at 1:15 p.m. and digital club at 2; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., computer at 10 and noon, tai chi at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; and Friday, Texas Hold’em at 1 p.m. Special events are: Youngstown Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Austintown Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The center is closed Christmas day. The center has applications for the SBC telephone discount program of $12.38 per month for eligible applicants. Call the center (330) 744-5071 for information.
