MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals at noon weekdays at nine locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Dec. 24: Salisbury steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, white bread with margarine, sweetened or unsweetened diced peaches and milk.

Thursday, Dec. 25: Closed for the holiday.

Friday, Dec. 26: Tuna-noodle casserole, sliced carrots, chopped spinach with vinegar, wheat bread with margarine, mixed fruit and milk.

Saturday, Dec. 27: Cold cuts on a bun with mayonnaise and mustard, potato salad, unsweetened peaches and grape juice.

Monday, Dec. 29: Kielbasa, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, Diamond Jim bun, mixed fruit and milk.

Tuesday, Dec. 30: Chicken quarter, wax beans, rice pilaf, rye bread with margarine, sweetened or unsweetened Ambrosia Salad and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.25 per meal.
