Beeghly Oaks workers plan vigil tonight over contract

YOUNGSTOWN — Employees of Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home plan to conduct a candlelight vigil from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the Boardman United Methodist Church parking lot to “highlight the need” for a fair and equitable contract. For the past year, caregivers at Beeghly Oaks, 6505 Market St., have worked without a contract, said Pam Callahan, administrative organizer for Service Employees International Union, District 1199, which represents the employees at the nursing home.
