School: Boardman, Division I

Coach: Terry O’Halloran, 24th season

Projected starters: 50 freestyle — Tommy Slagle, So. (23.30); 100 freestyle (51.96); 200 individual — Dewey Slagle, Sr. (2:09.92); 500 freestyle (5:10.51); 100 backstroke — Michael Henson, So. General outlook: The Spartan boys are rebuilding this season. The Slagle brothers and sophomore Michael Henson are experienced and hard working athletes. They will set the standard for the talented class of freshmen swimmers that will surprise a lot of teams by the end of the season.

General outlook: Although the Cardinals graduated six seniors, they have a nice group of seniors and juniors back and are looking forward to the freshmen and sophomores to help fill the spots from those who graduated. The team is motivated and working hard to achieve a successful season.

School: Cardinal Mooney, Division II

Coach: Tom Boniface, fifth season

Projected starters: Nick Boniface, Jr. — 100 breaststroke (1:03.85, 200 individual medley, 100 freestyle); Joe Boniface, Fr. (100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, freestyle); Justin McCarty, So. (100 breaststroke, freestyle); Eric Marve, Jr.; Luca Spahijar, Jr.

General outlook: The Cardinals have three strong, experienced veterans that should have a shot at districts.

School: Hubbard, Division II

Coach: Craig Yaniglos, fifth season

Projected starters: 100 butterfrly — Zack Flynn, Sr.; 500 freestyle — Chris Klug, Sr., Mitchell Ladig, So.; 50 freestyle — Klug, Josh Flynn, So., David Storey, So., John McLaughlin, Fr.; 100 breaststroke — Derrick Inskeep, So., Joey Svirbely, So., Brendan Burdette, Fr.; 100 freestyle — Brandon Nutter, So.

General outlook: The Eagles’s had a good 2007-08 season, but this season should even be better because they have added some depth.

School: Warren Harding, Division I

Coach: Bruce Lukco, first season

Projected starters: 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly — Niko Williams, Jr.; 50 freestyle — Graham Clouser, Sr. (23.1); 100 freestyle (50.0); 100 backstroke — Quinn Hernon, Jr. (1:06); 100 freestyle (58.0); 100 breaststroke — Nic Culver, Sr. (1:14); 100 freestyle (1:01).

General outlook: The Raiders are in a rebuilding mode, in the process of establishing a winning attitude and tradition.
