• YOUNGSTOWN — Nuptial vows were exchanged at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 in the presence of the Rev. James Daprile as Stephanie A. Zalovcik and James S. Williams Jr., both of 2650 Brunswick Road, were united in marriage at St. Brendan Church.
Afterward guests were greeted by the daughter of Michael and Deborah Zalovcik, 224 S. Hazelwood Ave., and the son of James Sr. and Renee Williams, 2207 Hermosa Drive, during a reception at The Embassy.
The couple honeymooned at Sandal’s Royal Caribbean Resort in Jamaica and live at the Brunswick Road address.
The bride’s gown featured a satin bodice with beaded embroidery, cap sleeves, an organza ball gown skirt, and a chapel train.
Wearing black gowns was the honor attendant, Kathy Kopper, and the bridesmaids, Aubrey Marbaugh, Crystal Flynn-Zalovcik, Lisa Zalovcik, Jessica Williams and Dawn Schwartz. Flower girl was Alyssa Perry.
John Armeni performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Michael Zalovcik, Thomas Perry, David Zalovcik, Anthony Rago and Ian Stublarec. Ring bearer was Ayden Marbaugh.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minor in creative writing. She is on the editorial staff at The Catholic Exponent and is an assistant coordinator of religious education at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard. The groom, a merchandiser with Pepsi-Cola Co., attended YSU.
