Beaver Local girls roll easily past Linsly

EAST LIVERPOOL — The Beaver Local High School girls basketball outscored Linsly, West Virginia 15-2 in the second quarter for a 23-15 halftime lead as it posted a 45-34 victory to in the championship game Friday in the East Liverpool Holiday Classic Tournament.

Sam Cianni scored 14 points and she had four assists and three steals for the Beavers (5-2). Alyson Derenberger chipped in with 11 points and Macy Weber had 10. Briana Riccardi pulled down seven rebounds.

Rachel Dodd took scoring honors for Linsly with 20 points. Brenna Burkhard and Sarah Dodd each had six.

Kennedy Catholic 53, Warren JFK 44

WARREN — Caitlin Lenhart scored 24 points and Kennedy Catholic outscored Warren JFK 15-6 in the second quarter to take control of Thursday’s non-league game. Paige Kleric scored 13 points and Marissa Nocera added 13 for the Eagles (3-4).
