Cutbacks announced recently because of a downturn in auto sales:

General Motors: 2,000 layoffs at the assembly and fabricating plants in Lordstown.

Magna Seating: 230 layoffs at the Lordstown plant that produces seats for GM.

Automodular: 30 layoffs at the Lordstown plant that produces component parts for GM.

Comprehensive Logistics: 175 layoffs at the Austintown plant that delivers parts to GM Lordstown for just-in-time installation.

Delphi Packard: 100 layoffs at Mahoning Valley plants because of declining orders.

Flex-N-Gate: 175 layoffs at the Salem plant that produces plastic parts for automakers.
