MEET JOE SCHIAVONI

New Ohio senator

The Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus appointed Joe Schiavoni to replace John Boccieri as the 33rd District’s state senator. He’ll be sworn in Jan. 5.

Age: 29.

Hometown: Canfield, grew up in Boardman.

Education: Graduate of Ohio University and Capital Law School.

Occupation: Attorney for the past three years, specializing in workers’ compensation cases. A member of his family’s law firm, Schiavoni, Schiavoni, Bush and Muldowney. Serves as boxing middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik’s legal representative for all his apparel and endorsement contracts.
