WARREN — Police arrested a 15-year-old Warren boy in the Tuesday afternoon shooting of a Columbus man at a house on 2nd Street Southwest.

The man, who had been shot in the middle of the back, was walking around the intersection of 2nd Street and Highland Avenue around 2:30 p.m. when police arrived.

The victim directed officers to a house where the juvenile and his 40-year-old mother were found. The youth also had juvenile warrants for his arrest for truancy violations.

The woman was questioned and released. The victim was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Gas station employee robbed at gunpoint

WARREN — An employee of a West Market Street gas station was ordered to get into a car and robbed at gunpoint late Wednesday but released unharmed.

The 19-year-old male employee was taking out the trash at Gas Land Express, 1744 W. Market St., around 11:30 p.m. when a man approached him, ordered him into the robber’s car and demanded money. After the employee gave up his cash, he was released, he told police.
