Romanian choir performs Saturday at North Side church
YOUNGSTOWN — Choir Cedonia, a professional chamber choir from Sibiu, Romania, will perform in a free concert at 6 p.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave.
John Nemes of Hubbard, a graduate of Youngstown State University and now an orthodox theological student in Sibiu, is a member of the choir and helped arrange its stop here during its U.S. tour that included a performance at the White House earlier this week.
The choir will perform Christmas carols in both English and Romanian.
The concert will be preceded by a fish dinner at 5 p.m. A free will donation will be accepted.
